TAPESTRY

Nobody knows your child like you do and we don’t want you to miss a single moment of your child’s learning and development.  That’s why we’ve partnered with Tapestry.

Tapestry is a secure online learning tool for our staff and you as parents to use to build a very special record of all your child’s experiences, development and learning journey.  The tapestry platform uses photos, videos and diary entries to weave the story of your child’s development and how they are growing.  The Tapestry platform then works seamlessly to enable these memories to be kept as a permanent record of each child’s unique journey.

All information held in the platform is stored securely and can be downloaded and shared as required. Parents or carers are able to view their child’s progress, the activities provided for them, and how much fun they’re having, whilst also uploading their own comments and media.

SAFEGUARDING

The safety and wellbeing of children in our care is our priority.  We ensure that staff attend regular training to keep up to date with the latest information to keep our children safe.

At Vale Kids our Designated Safeguarding lead is Jemma Edwards.  Together with the support of Susan Van Der Heyden they work tirelessly to ensure that our children are protected from harm and their welfare is paramount at all times.

All our staff are responsible for safeguarding our children and a copy of our policy can be requested from our nursery manager.

MEALS AND SNACKS

For young children snack time is about so much more than just eating.  They can practice social conversation and listening skills, improve fine motor skills and learn about healthy choices.

Our snacks include a choice of fruits, vegetables, crackers, dips, cheese and other nibbles and are included in our session fees.

Children who attend for the whole day session will eat their lunch in nursery but we do not provide meals.  Instead, we ask for parents to send in a small packed lunch.

UNIFORM

The children at Vale Kids participate in a wide range of activities both inside and out in the park and surrounding area.  Quality learning experiences can be messy or wet and the last thing we want is for parents to be upset when children come home quite literally wearing their day on their sleeves.

For outdoor play in poor weather, we provide the children with their very own Puddle Suits.  These keep our little people dry and warm so we can continue our adventures outside whatever the weather.

Although unform is not compulsory, lots of parents find it to be practical and cost effective.  If you would like to make use of one then for indoor activities we've chosen a royal blue polo shirt with our logo stitched on the front.  This can be worn with your choice of school skirt or trousers, joggers or leggings.

You can order the Polo shirt directly from our very local supplier Design Stitch Workwear or via our manager who carries a small stock too.
